Our two 7 y/o female Scotish-Fold Ear and 5 y/o male Selkirk Rex really seem to love this food. They all have sensitive stomachs, and can get diarrhea quite easily, but this food has never caused them any distress. They get dry food cafeteria style and, while they really like this food, the bowl contents don't evaporate as quickly...it must be more filling than other brands they've eaten. Moreover, the two girls harvested the hair on their bellies for years...the vet told us they were neurotic...within days of starting Newmans Dry Cat Food they stopped chewing at their stomachs. This food is hard to find locally now, and I'm glad, as I would have never discovered Amazon had it available for subscription at a fair price. Our cat masters and I thank you!

I have 2 cats. One is fluffy and finicky and won't eat anything but wet food and human meat. The other one is athletic, lively and will eat only dried "crap" food.

Well, the athletic one started having terrible eye problems (red and weepy) and she constantly scratched at them. We tried oral Lysine, Terramycin antibiotics, and swapping out the plastic dish for ceramic. Still she had eye problems. So, guessing it might be a food allergy, I bought her Newman's because it doesn't have corn gluten, the primary ingredient of almost all dry cat foods. Newman's #1 and #2 ingredients are MEAT.

She ate it immediately. Within 2 days her eye problems disappeared, so I am assuming she had developed allergies to the corn product in the dry food (and by the way, what felines eat corn in the wild?).

But what really amazed me is that fluffy and finicky passed over her usual wet food and went right for the dry Newman's. I just about wet my knickers!

I am buying this product because my cat has health issues. While I lived in Indiana I was able to buy it at Walmart for around 11.00 for the same size bag. Since I have moved to the south there are no stores in this state that carry it so I had to pay a little over 20.00 per bag. This is really very over priced. You can bet when I go back to Indiana this fall I will be shipping several bags home so I don't have to pay this horrible price for a while.

I have a 2 year old tabby that's spoiled rotten so our whole house is mine field of mice, rawhide chews, balls, stuffed toys and furry little "tribble" looking things....you name it, she has it. All of which she'll play with here and there and quickly lose interest.


I bought some of these springs about 18mos ago and she absolutely goes ballistic over them. Since then, I've bought more than 2 DOZEN PACKS of these and cut them in half (with plain ol' scissors) not only to increase the number (they tend to disappear in between treasure hunts) but they seem more mobile on the hardwood floors and carpet when cut down to a shorter size.... They also fly better (she loves to play fetch).

Oh yeah, they're indestructible too. Stepped on, run through the washer and vacuumed up...it's all good.

Let's face it, cats are finicky and fickle. They'll either love them or ignore them but at least give them a chance to find out. =^.^=

Our cat is very playful but he usually wants to "hunt" for his rat or the black stick holding the aforementioned rat with a lace. So we always have to be there and believe me, he knows what he wants... We've bought different toys but he's not attracted to them or only plays with them when he's angry. He had more fun with the corks or pens he 'stole' from us.

I dropped a spring on the floor and that was it. He now runs and plays with it in each room of the apartment. Yes, we have to catch the springs under the sofa, the TV bench or the bed, but we don't mind because it's really funny to watch.

The springs seem strong, come in nice colors and I don't have to fix 'a tail' or 'a back' after a couple days of games !

We love it and plan to offer a pack to my sister in law's new kitty.

Iv always wanted a cat play house for the cats and i love this one. My only issue was part of one of the poles had a staple sticking out with part of the rope undone. The condition of the box was HORRIBLE but i blame fedex for that, fedex has always been crappy but wow im suprised nothing fell out! The box was holding together by a peice of tape! The cat house itself is very strong though one of my fat cats knocked the whole thing over. lol. i would suggest to buy this cat house, its cute!!

Nice product but not for bigger cats.
My cat is about 17lbs and wouldn't fit through the hole. Probably a really nice hideaway bed for smaller cats.
The other thing I wish I had known before I ordered it is that the floor part (ie the part your cat sleeps on) is very thin. Just very thin fabric bottom, no cushion at all.
Other than that, the bed seems durable, cute, and is of a soft plushy material (other than the bottom part).

Amazon was very prompt and refunded with no hassle.

I had to give this product a 4 star review because I have three cats, one loves it, the other is indifferent to it and the other wants nothing to do with it. Mind you the cat who wants nothing to do with it is not a finicky eater in any way shape or form. Furthermore it's worth a shot but it's not a guarantee your cat will "love" it. I would buy it again though because 2 out of 3 cats like it.

My 7 month old kitten loves this milk! He actually begs for it every single day at the same exact time each day, sometimes more but I only give it to him once a day. There are 3 to 4 servings in each little container and he really seems to like it. Even though cats have a love for milk,they are actually lactose intolerant, because they don't have the lactase enzyme(which I believe is present at birth). A taste which one could only relate to stale nachos and burning pig ovaries. The texture could only be comparable to liquified chalk, with a hint of sand. An after taste of goat rectum and pepto bismal lingered in my throat, only going away with copious amounts of whiskey. I denounce this drink. Avoid.

 "Doesn't Do My Cat Much Good If It Won't Stay Up!" 2010-07-12

We are trying to sell the place so we didn't want anything that is too permanent or that would require holes. We have extremely deep marble windowsills (deep enough for our cat to lay on just not comfortably). Despite the mixed reviews, I bought this item back in Feb 2010. I figured with our windosills we would have more problems removing it than getting it to stay. Boy was I wrong! I followed directions exactly and even gave it an extra day to stick before I put her on it. I have tried everything I can think of to keep this darn thing attached including putting a small weight on top of where the velcro is to help it stick before she climbs on it. My cat is only 10lbs and it will NOT hold her weight. She doesn't even jump onto it. She climbs onto the bed and then walks across the window sill to get on it. It has fallen off for the fourth and final time! It's going in the trash. Not only is she shaken and upset from being tramatized but also in the process it has woken me on a work night. Now I'm trying to lore her out from hiding with treats to make she she is ok. To add insult to injury the free toy they included came in two parts. You had to unwrap the suction cup insert the stick into it. Problem is that the suction cup was crammed in the box for so long that it will never sit flat enough on the window to stick. Good thing I suppose. If she were to get too frisky on her perch who knows what would have happened.

Having read a number of reviews that said to follow the instructions around the adhesive carefully, I conservatively gave the adhesive 24 hours to set before letting my cats on it. However, the perch fell off the window sill in less than a week. I ended up using shelving brackets to attach it to the wall, so the cats can still use it, but for that I might as well have gone with a perch that attaches to the wall in the first place.


One note - the sill I attached the perch to was marble, not wood. It may be the case that it would attach just fine to a wooden sill, but it certainly doesn't do very well on stone.

The videos made me think it would do more complicated patterns than just the loop. It does not. The only thing it does better than other brand I've seen is that it stops and starts and reverses randomly. This is a HUGE improvement, and makes the device passable. My laser loving cat will pay attention to it for a few moments. But come on, how hard is it to give the mirror a dedicated servo so the laser can trace random paths on the ground?


The auto off feature is good, but if I had one complaint is that it lasts too long, since by the time it shuts off, my cat has long since lost interest and I've grown tired of the notably loud GRRRRR GEEEEE GRRRRR GEEEEE GRR GEE it makes during operation. Still not worth the money. C-

We have 2 indoor and 1 outdoor cat, all about 11 years old and in good health. The outdoor cat played with this toy for about 3 minutes, but the indoor cats glanced at the moving red dot on the floor, said "ho hum", and went about their business. Can't fault the toy; it worked perfectly. However, I wanted to point out that not all cats are amused by it.

The first time I turned on the toy, Ansel watched me do it. When he saw the red dot move, he immediately walked up to the laser toy and looked into it. The directions on the toy say to never look directly into the toy at the red beam. I would never leave him alone to play with it, if this is what he does. Later, I turned on the toy and held it up and away from him. He enjoyed playing with it a half dozen times but grew frustrated. He likes to actually catch the prey, claw and chew at it. Now, he considers it a trick and won't chase the red dot. He does follow the dot with his eyes. It makes him sleepy which isn't a bad thing when he gets too aggressive. I've put the toy up for the summer in hopes he'll forget it's a trick and get excited about it again in the fall. I guess it can't compare to the live birds and squirrels outside our door. He's just as successful at catching them as he is with catching the red dot, but he knows when he has a chance and when he doesn't.

After one year we still love this box. No dust, No perfumes!!, no smell, no (almost) maintenance, no spouse complaints (almost).. it really has made a difference for our family. The low maintenance means our 7-year-old can do his chores quickly without any supervision during the week when he keeps poop scooped into a trash can with a lid. On trash day he can lift out the pad with no problems - what better testimonial is there? My father, who visits daily, makes sure he tells me if there are any smells he notices in the house. There have been NO complaints with this box.

Key issues

Smell - no urine at all - poop smells but if you scoop it into a covered trash can there is none (except in the can)


Cat adjustment - our cats took a week to get used to this and I had to put large marbles in my houseplants to keep them out (but the urine smell was taken care of with a handful of the pellets - another advantage) but they use it with no problems now.


Size - our converted barn cats at 8 lbs. fit, but I think another inch or two would help them like using system even better


Loose stool - bad. if this happens, pull out your emergency clay box for a few days because loose stool means a full clean up. But we've only had this once or twice in the past year.


Availability - Amazon is the only 'local' place we can get it, so we can't go out and get an emergency supply. I really hope they keep making this... I think our adjustment back to clay would take a lot longer than the cats took for this system.

Really, I am bad about writing reviews, but this box deserves as many good reviews I can give.


The only barrier I can think of for this system is if you have a very particular cat. But, don't give up too quickly because an extra day or two of clean ups is no big deal when compared to the advantages.

Amazon delivers the pellets and pads to my door automatically for cheaper than I can get them at the pet store or discount stores. Like clockwork, Amazon has them on my doorstep, saving me time and money. I have 2 systems for 3 cats and go through a case of pellets (6 bags) once every 2 months. The pads last me about 2.5 months, so every couple of shipping cycles I skip the pads.






I bought this system because I was fed up with disgusting bits of kitty litter turning up all over my house -- on my pillow, in the sink, on the couch, YUCK! And sticking to my feet no matter how many times I swept up. ICK! Yes, the Breeze litter system is more expensive than clay litter. But it's worth it to me to not find kitty litter in every nook and cranny of my home. I put 1.5 bags of pellets in each litter box and change them once a month. They say 1 bag for each, but I think 1.5 does a better job of covering the box and the cats like to scratch in it.





Is it more sanitary? Probably not. After all, the cats are still walking everywhere after they've been in the litter box. It's just less visually disgusting.





Does it smell better? Yes! The pads soak up the urine and do a good job containing the ammonia smell. Unless they get too soaked. Then it's super nasty ammonia smelling. But really that's up to you to keep them changed. I go through 4 pads a week for 3 cats. The feces, on the other hand, isn't fun. The litter system isn't designed to coat poo in a de-stinkifying coat of clay to neutralize it like regular litter. So you've got to stay on top of the poo. Like dog owners do, I just put a plastic grocery bag on my hand like a mitten and pick up the poo and twist the bag shut. So if you have a cat with especially frequent, liquid or disgusting poos, Breeze might not be for you. But my 3 cats are middle aged and tidy and not that smelly in general, so once a day cleaning out the poo is usually good.





Bottom line, yeah the poo is a little grosser and yeah it costs more, but you couldn't pay me to switch back to clay litter. I'm totally sold, especially with Amazon saving me time and money on subscribe and save.

I have a dog who sheds a lot, and has medium-length fur. I don't have to use this product much, maybe every week to two weeks.

From the first time I used it, I noticed a drastic improvement in my carpet appearance. Still hair floating around, but not like before. This product removes clumps and clumps of fur. My dog hates to be brushed in general and does not enjoy being brushed by the furminator either, but when we are done with the furminator, he shakes and you can tell his fur feels better for him.


Also, I use the furminator de-shedding shampoo in combination with this product and it helps with the shedding as well.

I, like everyone else, heard great stories about this amazing de-shedding tool, so I bought one and have tried it a dozen or so times on my American Eskimo dog. She looks like a giant snowball, an oversized Pomeranian or a miniature Samoyed for those of you who have never seen one - and as you can imagine, she has LOTS of hair and sheds tumbleweeds year round.



When I got this brush out of the package, the first thing I did it run it down my own arm to make sure it isn't painful like those pin brushes (which I bet you will stop using once you try them on yourself). It it actually fairly uncomfortable when you test it on yourself, because the blades are very sharp, so even though they are aligned in such a way as to provide a largely flat grooming surface, they still scrape and scratch quite a bit. That being said, dogs have thicker, tougher skin than people (well, most dogs) and can handle a bit more roughness. So I tried it out on my Eskimo.


I fully admit that it did work as advertised, for which I'll give it credit. The undercoat comes out little by little, in tiny poofs of wispy hair. If you groom for 15 minutes, you're completely covered in wispy hair that is soft and impossible to gather up and throw away. After 5 minutes she was noticeably uncomfortable,after 10 minutes she was shewing on me and acting fussy, after 15 minutes she started making little whining noises, and after 20 minutes she was practically biting my arm in annoyance. She never likes grooming much, but she really did not care for this tool. It rips the undercoat out in small bits. I wouldn't care for it either if it were me. I did get a lot of hair out of my dog, but she wouldn't come to me for half a day afterward because she appeared to feel mistreated by the grooming session.


Each successive session was about the same. I knew I wasn't really hurting her, but rather causing her quite a bit of discomfort, so I made sessions 10 minutes or less after that to minimize the soreness that apparently develops from the tearing out of the fur.

I needed a way for my cat to access her litter box in a closet under the stairs and this cat flap was the cheapest option. It serves its intended purpose and my cat learned to use it quickly. As many other reviews have stated, the lock is garbage (it broke in half within 1 minute of me opening the box), but I don't anticipate ever wanting the ability to lock the door in its current location.

This little cat door is perfect for an interior door between rooms. It was easy to install, but the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the instructions were really, well-- dumb. Thank goodness my husband is used to doing some similar projects so he could figure out the idiot sheet!! If it had been up to me, the cat door would still be in the box.



My kitten figured out the door right away, and he uses it -- keeping the odor from his cat box contained in the mud room and not in the house. Yesterday we had to keep him inside and we used the lock successfully. It works. It was not expensive, and I am happy.

This little door is great,


You have to have the proper tools to make an easy set up. After only a day the cats were using it with no problems. Make a hole on your door doesn't sound that good, however after you set up the flap the door looks pretty good.



The size is perfect, the dog stick the head once in a while but he can't go any further than that.

I bought this with an idea for using it that wasn't listed. I replaced a pane of glass in my window with plexiglass, cut an opening for the door to fit in, secured the door to the pg using just the front part of the door, and it works great. I had to used duct tape to secure it because the screws weren't meant to go into the plexiglass, but it works great, at least for the summer!
