I am very pleased with the product it works great on my yellow lab. It removes dead and loose hair without shaving or coming close to his skin. The tool has a very comfortable handle and is easy to use.

My old yellow lab, who likes to be brushed, rolled his eyes & moaned with rapture when I used the furminator on his skinny body! My 6 year old basset, who hates to be brushed, actually liked it & went "belly up" for me in no time at all. However, the best part of all was that it really does a great job of getting off that undercoat hair. I didn't realize how much stuff was lurking on the basset's body until I went over him. I love this product & so do my critters.

My vet mentioned that these would help with dog hair issues. At PetSmart a medium size one was in the $30-$35 range. I was able to get two medium Furminators plus shipping on Amazon for $25. I only recommed you read the instructions before use to get the full use out of it. Furthermore, I took my dogs last week to PetSmart to get bathed etc. and didn't realize when I picked them up for a $4 upcharge they would brush the dog for 15 minutes with the furminator. Wish I had known that first because I went home and did it. Just a heads up... Good Luck!

Tried this on my brothers white, breed unknown, female, average sized, standard issue, cat. She was a tad hesitant at first, but let me "work the fur" in short time. I have a picture of three days harvest, if the site will accept it. 30 dollars for the pair was worth it. Highly recommend it.
