I own this FURminator and the small FURminator Deluxe, and I LOVE these combs. My husband and I adopted a Golden Retriever whose constant shedding left me at my wits end. Having four other dogs and a cat, we did not expect that our new member of the household would shed three times as much as our other four(and cat) combined. This brush was a lifesaver for my household, and I couldn't believe the loose fur it pulled off my other non-shedding dogs' coats. The small comb works great on our cat, too! I just ordered the double-edged FURminator, and I can't wait to use that on my Golden!

I love this tool! I use it on two dogs and two cats, and it works equally well on all of them. If your pet stays inside, you will be amazed at how much hair is eliminated in your home. The best part is that neither the dogs nor the cats mind being "brushed" with the FURminator! For my household, it was definitely worth the money!

This is the greatest tool for brushing our dogs. I wish we had been using it before now!

It pulled out a lot of under-fur and dander, ejects it easily while you are working, using the button, and the dogs did not seem to mind it. Much better than the wire slicker brush we had always used before. Easy to grip and comfortable. We liked it. We mostly used it while she was shedding. We slightly feared if we kept using it year-round our dog would end up completely naked!

This little product almost brings tears to my eyes. My fiance brought his dog to our home with warnings of "She broke a Dyson vaccum, we have to vacuum daily, she sheds like crazy, there is ALWAYS hair someWHERE..."
This dog is an 80lb Shepherd mix and his shedding warnings were an understatement! After a year of Zoom Grooming, hours of brushing, frightening baths, and DAYS of vacuuming the back seat of my car even after it's covered with a thick cotton rug--this little tool has ended my anguish and anxiety. *Sigh of Relief*
Hair drippage has been reduced DRAMATICALLY after 1 hour of serious work with it, followed by daily Furminating. She is sleek, shiny, and not shedding! Granted there is some hair here and there but not globs of hair bushes sprinkled about the house. I get emotional just thinking about the cleaning freedom! The poor dog was distressed even by the zoom groom but she is pleasantly surprised by the Furminator. She doesn't flinch when we use it and she has expressed no discomfort at all! She is squeamish about all things related to grooming and would run even from the very gentle Zoom Groom!
The only downside--and I mean this is minute--is that the Furminator will find a LOT of hair and you need to be prepared with an adequate receptacle. We went wild using it in the backyard and bushels of her hair made its way back inside on the wind, our feet, and on cat/dog paws. It gathers the hair into fine bunches.
A miracle product!
