I've used Fresh Step Crystals since both of my 2 year old cats were kittens and I wasn't sure how well they would adjust to a new litter. However, I was on a mission to find something comparable due to the cost of Fresh Step. I tried another brand of silicone crystals a few months ago, but pouring a bag into their box caused such huge clouds of choking dust, I had to wonder how healthy it was to have that blasting me in the face every week.
I came across Just the Crystals a little over a month ago and have ordered this twice now. There is very little dust in the bags so that was a relief to me. Both cats took to it immediately without any hesitation, which was my biggest concern. The price seems equivalent to buying Fresh Step Crystals when I find it on sale but includes the added convenience of it being delivered straight to my home.
The service and quality of the packaging and litter really seems top notch and the only thing I could possibly request is that this be offered through Amazon's Subscribe & Save plan. I'm sure many would jump to sign up for this ongoing essential buy for their household!

For the ScoopFree Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box, this cat litter is waaaaay better than the pricey ScoopFree Crystal litter. Just the Crystals is intended for use with the re-usable tray, not a disposable.
The ScoopFree could not control odor for more than 2 days with my geriatric cat and it is supposedly good for at least 3 weeks with one cat! Just the Crystals delivers on ScoopFree's promise. Definitely use.

I just started using my automatic litter box again after moving. I bought 'Just the Crystals' to give them a try. They lasted for over a month and 94 'sweeps'. The stuff sold by that other company never made it past 2 weeks and about 40 sweeps. I am sold...The price has gone up since I bought them last, sadly.

This is understandably the #1 best selling cat litter on Amazon. When it disappeared for a while I wrote to the seller and got a personal note back from Rick.. who wrote me again when the product was once again available on Amazon. It had simply sold out!
With an Amazon Prime account, 2nd day air delivery is Free, so I immediately ordered 3 more boxes! I also have the forever litter tray. I couldn't be more pleased with this company, their products, and particularly their friendly customer service. It's hard to find a company with such a strong desire to please. Thanks Rick!

I thought I would give this a try since the permanent tray from forever litter trays worked so well. It has been 9 days and I need to swap out the crystals as my cats drink ALOT from the filtered fountain. I used to be able to go 4 weeks when I only had the 1 cat, but triple the output and well...you would need to change out the litter more frequently. I do remove the poop from the scoop free automatic litter box 2 times a day as the kittens food just reeks!!!! I can't wait till they are old enough to switch them to Kirkland signature maintenance food-way better nutritional and financial value. Overall I think this product does just as well as the scoop free crystals. The extra .4 lbs per bag actually help the cats have enough litter. 4.0lbs even with the scoop free wasn't enough. I do see some powder as the week went on, but it didn't bother us. I don't think I could have a better litter area. We use the litter champ,the scoop free litter box, the forever litter tray, and now just the crystals.
