"Convenient, cat's eat it" 2010-06-09

I bought these with subscribe and save and my cats like the variety of flavors and I like that it's seemingly less packaging than cans. However, after about 6 months they started getting bored with it so I had to start switching it up with another brand of wet food that I also got through subscribe and save and it's actually cheaper. So I'm buying that more often and putting these on the less frequent shipment timeframe.

I think it might be good cat food but my cats didn't love it. There was always left over food I had to get rid of. I won't buy this product again. Maybe it was the flavors, my cats like seafood better.

I gave this product two stars because of the convenience of having pouches instead of cans to deal with several times a day. It looks and smells fine to me. We have two adult spayed female indoor cats and also feed and shelter an outdoor feral female (spayed, of course). While they lick the gravy off the food, they really don't seem to enjoy it and most of the time there are plenty of leftovers in their dishes to toss away.

LOBO JUST LOVE FRISKIES POUCHES. WE TRIED OTHER POUCHES HE WOULD EAT JUST A LITTLE,THEN HE WOULD ENCOURAGE SHAY SHAY (DOG) TO EAT THE REST. SO WE DECIDED TO ORDER FRISKIES POUCHES, OUR LAST TRY WITH POUCHES. CANS JUST FILLED UP THE RECYCLE BUN SO QUICK. POUCHES LAY FLAT IN A BAG, IN TRASH CAN THEY GO. SO WE LOVE THEM TOO, CAUSE THEY ARE CONVENIENT. TEAR OPEN AND DUMP IN BOWL. YOU DONT NEED A SPOON LIKE MOST POUCHES TO GET THE FOOD OUT. NO WASTE EITHER. LOBO EAT EVERY MORSEL. WE WILL CONTINUE TO BUY THE POUCHES EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE A LITTLE HIGHER THAN THE STORE.

Okay, I have three cats, and like most cat owners I know, they have a dry food diet, and are given the canned stuff as a treat. This really seems to by all my cats' favorite brand. They used to come running when the can popped, but now they come running when I just merely open the cabinet I keep these in! And at less than seven bucks, a DEFINITE great buy. I love Amazon's clearance, thank you Amazon!

There are 3 flavors - both my cats loved one flavor (whitefish), one would eat all flavors (though not happy about the salmon), and one cat rejected 2 out of 3. The can size is perfect for picky cats - less waste.

This was the only wet food my two cats were happy to eat. If it wasn't for the fact that they are now eating prescription food, I would still be buying it for them and I hope, at some point, I can again.

My 16 year old cat had been on dry food since I adopted her from the shelter 13 years ago. A couple of years or so ago she became very finicky and refused her regular brand. I then switched her to an 'all natuaral' version by the same maker. She did fine on that for awhile then out of the blue she'd have nothing more to do with it. I decided to give wet food a go. As she's becoming more&more picky in her golden years that was a hit&miss ordeal. Seems as fast as I'd stock up on her favorite variety of a brand she'd decide she didn't want it anymore. Every other day I'd have to trek out to the store(in the harsh Michigan winter no less)to find something to feed her. I finally decided to pick up a few cans of Fancy Feast at CVS. I had steered clear of FF because of the high price of those tiny cans. Since I was desperate to get food into kitty I caved. I bought every different variety my local CVS had on the shelf. She didn't want the flaked variety. She wouldn't touch the shredded meals. She loved the food in the gravy,actually she only loved the gravy. Finally I opened up a can of the Salmon and prayed for the best. To my relief she inhaled every bit of it and meowed for more. I moved on to the Cod,Shrimp,&Salmon and got the same positive response. She flipped over the Ocean Whitefish flavor.




Hallelulah! I'd hit paydirt!!


I don't have a car at present and the trips to the store in a quest to find these 3 flavors of Fancy Feast got tiresome. I decided to use Amazon's Subscribe&Save option. What a life saver that is. I placed the order and received kitty's food in a couple a days. The next month I got an email saying the order was shipping and it arrived a few days later. The service is convienent and the price I pay through Amazon is a few dollars less than I was paying per case at the store,not to mention I didn't have to trek off to the store and haul the food home. It came right to my door without fail.


The one problem I ran into is my dear feline friend decided she no longer cares for the Ocean Whitefish or Cod/Shrimp/Salmon flavor. The stray cats outside can't thank her enough for her pickiness lol.


She still loves the Salmon flavor and the Salmon&Shrimp feast. Sadly Amazon doesn't offer the latter on the Subscibe&Save plan so I had to cancel my order here and order through Petco. Petco costs a little more but as we cat owners know we have to do what the 'boss' tells us to do ;)

These new filters are horrid. They hardly have any charcoal in them, they slim up quickly and don't last long at all. A very CHEAP change in product.

At first I thought there was a mistake because the filter I recvd didn't look like the advertised picture. The store cleared that up letting me know this was a new design by the manufacturer and the filter works better than the prev design.

They've changed these filters from what they used to be. They used to have a nice, sturdy frame that made inserting them easier. Now they're too limp, and it's hard to make the bottom go all the way to the bottom of the compartment. There seems to be less charcoal in them, too.

Value-wise, I'd say they're only half of what they were as recently as last year. But you'll notice the price didn't go down.

I'm very, very disappointed in how this product has changed.

The filters work fine and are doing a great job of keeping the water clear of the usual kitty debris. However, even with free shipping, the price was higher than I could have paid at local stores.

I bought this for my cat's Petmate in hopes of filtering the water and giving it more of a quality taste for her. I was disappointed. It didn't last very long and the filter (which I realize is made of charcoal) leaves little pieces on the bottom of the fountain even after I rinsed it several times. So, yes it makes the water look dirty at times! You get what you pay for, it was cheap and I should have known. I give it one star for working for a little while, but not overly impressed with performance.
